Ceoldrama Episode 3 Airs Tonight

This is just a reminder that episode 3 of Ceoldrama will broadcast tonight on TG4 at 8. Please do tune in…

I’ve previously said that I’m very proud of this series and I think that tonights episode is probably the pick of the bunch in terms of the editing challenges we faced. The previous 2 episodes focused on getting to know 2 schools in each episode. In tonights episode its moving the story along for all 4 schools but still having enough backstory in the show so that people who haven’t seen the first 2 will also enjoy it. I think it worked out very well and I’d love to hear what people thought of it.

People have said really nice things about the first two episodes and if you want to catch up on them, you can watch them on the TG4 player here

Last Days of Peter Bergmann plays Sundance Tonight

bergmann02

The IFB Reality Bites Short “The Last Days of Peter Bergmann” which I edited last year has its US Premiere tonight as part of the Sundance Film Festival. Obviously this is very exciting and while I’m disappointed I couldn’t make it over, I’m sure the director Ciaran Cassidy and Producer Morgan Bushe (Fastnet Films) will have a blast in Park City. It’s a great opportunity for them and the films future prospects.

Here’s the films trailer

The film had its world premiere as part of Dublin’s documentary festival, the IFI Stranger Than Fiction Festival where it went away with the Audience award for best film.

About the Director
Ciaran Cassidy is an Irish documentary filmmaker and screenwriter. His radio documentary The Runners on a child who escaped from an industrial school and the man who helped him won the 2010 Prix Europa. Collaboration Horizontale, a film about the shaving of a prostitute’s head in Chartres, screened at the 2011 Telluride Film Festival and won a prize at the Palm Springs International ShortFest. Cassidy’s first full-length screenplay, “The Domestique,” is in development

Can You Feel It?

Here’s a short I worked on about a decade ago. I didn’t edit it, in fact I worked as Locations Manager on it. The Film was directed by Marissa O’Mahoney who was in college with me and the whole crew was basically a bunch of us from Chluain Mhuire. Myself, Maire and even my old apartment make a brief cameo in it and it stars my cousin Andrew Carney as a member of a boy band called “Four-ce”. I still have one of the bands t-shirts someplace.

Readers Wives Album Free Download

Last year I edited a music video directed by my mate Jonathan Shaw for the group Readers Wives. That track was called ‘Victors Mother Juliet’ and now the group have followed that EP up with an album proper. The album is called ‘Rachels Apartment’ and is available to buy from July 1st. However for the month of June they are offering it free as a download from here. Written & recorded over the course of four months in the band’s squat in Temple Bar, it will be launched with a live show in The Workman’s Club, in Dublin on July 1st. for more information visit the groups bandcamp site

Here is the video I edited last year,
