Thrilled with the IFTA nominations announced!

ifta+award

The IFTA nominations were announced this morning and I’m absolutely thrilled that the 3 tv programmes I cut last year have all been nominated in various categories. The six nominations are really exciting and while I’m proud of this achievement I’m also aware that I have very lucky last year to work on such great projects. That doesn’t always happen and I’m really grateful that the shows have been recognised. Working in this industry you are constantly meeting new people and forging new friendships. So it is great that the new friends I’ve made have racked up these nominations.

I’m also delighted for all my friends at abu media for their 4 nominations and Mick Mahon for his 2 nominations, surely Mick has to get one this year!

I’m delighted that ‘Blian in Arainn Mhor’ got nominated in the prestigious doc series category. It would be great if David Power, the perennial IFTA bridesmaid finally got his hands on a gong. His body of work certainly deserves it and I was thrilled to work on this lovely popular series.
