Following on from it’s win at the IFTA’s the documentary Páidi Ó Sé: Rí an Pharóiste picked up the award for Best Tv Show at the Gradaim Chumarsáide an Oireachtais held in Salthill last weekend. I’m delighted to have been the editor of this show and delighted for its director Louise on her continued success.
She is just back from showing her IFTA nominated short ‘Rubai’ at the Tribeca film festival, where it became the first Irish language film to screen at that prestigious festival. The short won last year at the Galway Film Fleadh and has screened at countless festivals since then. It’s young lead actress also picked up an award in Salthill last weekend. I was delighted also for my old colleague and friend Sile Nic Chonaonaigh and indeed everyone in Abu Media for there win in the Best TV series category.
