Bergmann on Tour

In the last few weeks ‘The Last Days of Peter Bergmann’ has been on quite the world tour. Of all the films I’ve been involved in nothing has come anywhere close to clocking up the miles this short has since debuting at the IFI Stranger than Fiction festival in Dublin last september. Here’s a quick rundown of where its played since starting the year with a trip to Sundance.

The Nashville International Film Festival, Tennessee
The Film played here back at the end of April and went down very well, eventually picking up the award for best short documentary. If winning this prestigious award wasnt enough, the victory now qualifies the film for OSCARS! Its a long way to next february but it would be pretty amazing for director Ciaran Cassidy to make the longlist or even to get another wear out of his tuxedo for a night out in LA early next year! After this bit of great news Ciaran was interviewed by Ryan Turbidy for his RTE Radio show

He was also interviewed in the Anglo-Celt about his success. You can read that here

On with the tour…
