Following ‘One Ocean: No Limits’ successful screenings at festivals in San Francisco, Newport Beach and Boston so far this year, the film has now been selected as a finalist in the Surfing & Ocean Sports category at the Blue Ocean Film Festival in Florida in November 2014. It is the only Irish film to have been selected for the festival. ‘One Ocean: No Limits’ has also just been selected for the Flagstaff Mountain Film Festival, Arizona in October.

The BLUE Ocean Film Festival & Conservation Summit takes places every two years and allows ocean leaders, filmmakers, photographers, scientists, explorers, entertainment executives – and the general public– to gather in Tampa Bay/ St. Petersburg, Florida to honour the best in ocean filmmaking, to learn more about the issues facing our oceans, and to collaborate on improving the future of our oceans and humanity in a 7-day event.

‘One Ocean: No Limits’, the first Irish documentary on the subject of the extreme sport of ocean rowing, follows a young Irish novice rower through the highs and lows of rowing unassisted as part of a crew of six across the vast Atlantic Ocean from Morocco to Barbados. The film was produced and directed by Sarah McCann, who also performed major camera & editing roles. The film was co-edited by myself and the final sound mix and online/grading took place in Gorilla Post-Production. The film has been acquired upon completion for broadcast by RTE (TX date TBC).
